George, do you have a subsciption to Workers Vanguard? Of course the only
*ultimate* defeat of fascism is through socialist revolution. The only
defeat of Imperialism is through socialist revolution. The only way to stop
kids from shooting each other in schools whle wearing trenchcoats is through
socialist revolution. We need something tangible, not denunciations based on
the fact that our enemies also do it. In Canada, there is a mild movement by
the state to stop "hate crimes", meaning they can (and occasionally do)
arrest neo Nazis for distributing hate literature, music, etc. When workers
students, etc. try to break up a "conference" or some such being held by
Nazis, I don't see that as "objectively supporting the state". I see it as a
first step into radical activity.
Yes, it is often a liberal element, but if and only if, it is the militant
action of Austrians, particularly immigrants and workers, who forse this
government aside, then that will be a victory.
Good luck Kurt!
