Speaking of which, did anyone notice the attempt by a group of British
lefties to make a "citizens' arrest" of Robert Mugabe while he was on a
private visit to London?  The ostensible reason was his violation of human
rights in Zimbabwe.  The British group was led by former Labour Party lefty
and gay activist, Peter Tatchell, who droned on about the new international
culture of human rights and nobody being immune from prosecution etc.
Mugabe's response included his now usual zany anti-gay remarks, but also
something more to the point, about Zimbabwe's human rights record being
better than that of the UK.
