Re: The Boer War

I've read Lenin's views on the Boer War as well as Hobson's (and a couple of
other, more mainstream historical accounts)...
Most of the time the intelligent approach makes sense, but when I'm in a bad
mood and I remember what the Boers did to us over the years, then my
interpretation become irrational and possibly reductionist: Two groups of white
strangers, fighting over somebody else's property. The Boers won and got the
prize... a hundred years of misery for the rest of us.
But seriously, I prefer Hobson's account.
