A quick note re Bogdanov: As Lou Proyect has been concerned to
point out over and over again on these lists, it is important in light
of subsequent history of democratic-centralist parties to point out
that Lenin did not attempt to have Bogdanoff expelled from the
Bolshevik faction. I believe a good deal of both the honest concern
and the sheer hysteria that the idea of "party in philosophy" stirs
up comes from this tradition of outlawing from party politics those
who are judged to be philosophically incorrect. Hence MEC does
need to be read in the context of Lenin's continued political relations
with Bogdanov despite *both* political and philosophical disagreements.
