I heard Phillips sing a couple times back in the '70s and '80s --
and he must have been a sexegenarian then. I would guess he
is currently in his '80s. The first time I heard him he had a voice;
the last record I bought of his he had not much of a voice.
Which may be why he is just reading now. I'm 69 & I know
I'm a good deal younger than him.
