Damn it, George! Posting this after I've had my 'last words' on this
issue!
George is lining up with the 'conspiracy theory' camp in this post, where
the imperialists are trying to achieve the disintegration of Indonesia,
rather than whitewashing it, and thus preserving it as a client. I've
already stated my views on this.
It would be nice to think that China was supporting the clearly expressed
will of an oppressed nationality, but I tend to agree with the cynical view
that it's trying to keep on good terms with the US, and hence imperialism.
Mumble, mumble. I'm trying to end my participation in this thread, but
it's not easy....
