The US is dependent on capital inflows from the EU and Japan, to the tune
of $200-300 billion per annum, and owes the rest of the world $2 trillion.
The EU is a global creditor and the largest internal market around, and is
a mightier economic bloc than the US or Japan (which doesn't mean that
Eurocapitalism is all that wonderful, because it's clearly as ecological
toxic and humanly destructive as its competitors).
Any thoughts on the Finnish class struggle these days? I hear the comrades
have done a magnificent job defending the welfare state there.
