Lost mailer
- Subject: Lost mailer

I seem to have lost the latest mailer by Mr. J. Plant dealing with his
response to the question of the armed strikes In Peru.
I was unable to read it.
Could anyone please forward it to me?
I lost a few mailers today due to an Eudora crash.
On the other hand, I am still quite surprised by the "innocent" way in which
one I read from our friend Hugh Rodwell gives away the whole game of
Trotskysm - and what surprised me more was the way in which he seems to be
totally unaware of the obvious conclussions of what he says himself: That
the THESIS abot the POSSIBILITY OF BUILDING COMPLETE SOCIALISM IN ONE
COUNTRY TAKEN SEPARATELY is a THESIS OF VLADIMIR ILLICH LENIN and NOT - in
its full and developed form - originally a THESIS OF STALIN. That Stalin
came FULLY to Lenin's point of view, and not the other way round, since
according to Hugh, he felt he had to somehow correct HIS earlier statements
to bring them in line with LENIN'S extremely clear and definite position:
THAT COMPLETE SOCIALISM IN ONE COUNTRY WAS NOT SIMPLY POSSIBLE, BUT THAT ALL
THE NECESSARY AND SUFFICIENT CONDITIONS FOR ITS ACHIEVEMENT WERE PRESENT -
IRRESPECTIVE IF THE REVOLUTION OF THE ADVANCED COUNTRIES SUCCEEDED OR NOT.
The absurd conclussions drawn by Hugh from details such as translationg
"proletarian government" into "proletarian power" and other similar
questions which he thinks gives him a straw to clutch to and protect him
>from the utter rout of the TROTSKYST thesis of IMPOSSIBILITY OF BUILDING
COMPLETE SOCIALISM IN ONE COUNTRY TAKEN SEPARATELY.
Now it can be fully understood that the THESIS of SOCIALISM IN ONE COUNTRY,
far from being a thesis of "Stalin contradicting Lenin", is in fact a thesis
of Lenin contradicted by Trotsky and which Stalin gradually came fully to
accept and fully understand in the process of struggling against Trotsky's
anti-Leninist position.
Therefore, our assertion that the thesis of SOCIALISM IN ONE COUNTRY is a
LENINIST thesis, is not only proven, but the whole charade of Trotskysm of
labelling THIS THESIS as "Stalinism" is absolute balderdash!
