Inside Shoes, Take a Break
>> Now they want to know what was the meaning of all this. Why the "shoe"
has slipped? <<Vladimir B
Good point, Vladimir. Believe me, I am not saying that the questions you,
Hugh and Adolpho are not important. I just happen to think such a discussion
would go farther when the participants can adopt a civil, "scientific" tone.
An epithet-ridden Punch and Judy show featuring Hugh's red pencil and
Adolpho's Red Army boots can be amusing. I think we will do better when the
participants in such debates can grant each other a higher status than agents
of MI6 and the GPU.
I thought I'd throw the brake shoe post into the list as a "change-up", to
use a baseball metaphor.
