I read this piece of bad news - for the people - too.
In fact *one* group of capitalists, on the one hand, and
I (for instance), on the other, understand each other in so
far as we all want technical progress, cheap electricity etc -
we have different reasons for this. And to this group of people,
I (for instance) still have that contradiction that I want them
to pay us workers and other employees more, in the first place,
and that I'm trying to contribute towards the organising of a
complete expropriation of all their factories etc by the great
majority of people, on the other.
That group of capitalists so far has been comparatively strong
precisely in Japan. Here in Sweden, that *other* and
internationally today much stronger group, that group one of
whose muppets you are, which *wants* energy to be as scarce
and expensive as they can possibly make it, has long been
dominant. Their (your) No. 1 master is/are: the main forces of
US imperialism. It's *that* group that has now won a certain
victory in that small town in Japan (with some 12 000 people in it
- in many respects a "rural" town, my paper said), in that they
have either managed to convince a majority of the people there
of the truth of their (your) big lie that "nukes are bad" or
else have made a manipulated "referendum" such as the fantastic
one here in Sweden in 1980 where you were OMLY allowed to vote
"NO" or else kep mum.
I'm not saying the referendum now was *not* above-board, since I
don't know which was the case here. But whether the US
imperialists and you muppets won a "fair" victory this time or
not, it's still not a good thing, and your small attempt at
confusing the issue and pretending the main forces of
international reaction are "not" behind this small Japanese "no"
will not succeed, among other things because watchdog little me
is/am still here: Bowwow!
One thing to be noted: This *small* event is being blown up
as a quite big one by all the main (capitalist) media. Why this,
one might reflect.
