     There are a lot of people on this list who
would like to support the struggle in Peru.  Why
is it that you make it so difficult by increasingly
insisting that supporters must go along with your
increasingly baseless support for the infallibility
of Stalin?
     I have gone on at length about this before on this
list, so will not repeat.  But, I pose just one for you.
You claim that the Moscow Trials were a paragon of
proletarian justice.  Do you really believe that there
was a plot to build a tunnel to India from Moscow?  This
was the great crime that many confessed to.  Do you
utterly discount the recent book by Bukharin's widow?
The mountain of innocent people slaughtered by the Stalin
regime is not a figment of imperialist imaginings, and no
amount of repetitions without foundation on your part will
undo the facts.
     Sorry, Adolfo, at one point you were willing to admit
at least that Stalin "made some mistakes."  Have you become
too addicted to giving speeches to the British Stalin Society?
You are an intelligent and articulate guy, but this is just
pathetic, when it is not utterly vile and disgusting.
