LP - open politics or purges?

Dear friends,

On the issue of the attempts of Mazzocchi (OCAW official), by fiat,
to give the Buffalo branch of the LP the boot, this personal despotism
is not all that surprising. It is a continuation of the methods used
to silence , & otherwise calumniate rank and file dissdents in the AFL/CIO as a
whole in its top down "rules of (bourgeois) ORDER".

One way this suppression can be fought is open political criticism and polemic
aimed at reaching the rank and file to stir up thinking, esp. issues on tap for
for planned action.
To try to keep what are really down deep POLITICAL and not just ORGANIZATIOAL
contadictions under wraps is a sure no brainer.

By getting some good political cohesion through poitical struggle in small rank
and file groups, even if they get the bureaucrats banning orders, you can
possibly regroup even in retreat to fight again another day. Next time a bit
wiser.

I have been in a few of these union left-militant/dissdent caucuses and have had
to learn stuff like the rest of the militants fighting inside a business union
organization.
Instead of banging your head against the an AFL brick wall of Democratic Party
and pro concessions apparatus, better to wait until motion comes from
the ranks and then try new flanking tactics, to build a base for independent
struggle, not to pressure corrupted hacks.

Neil
