Show trials and mock executions

After sleeping on it, I feel IMO also appropriately angry at the
spoof publication of photographs of Luis and Marcelina,
red faces not withstanding.
While I got it wrong as a uuencode illiterate, and misjudged the
irony of the comments by Doug and Gina, the tone of the comments
of Jay and Adolfo were brutal.

For them the joke was a joke like a mock execution. The prisoner
has shit his pants, and but is still alive. I think they had reason
to joke about this, to deflect attention from responding to the
challenge of whether they have any evidence to support their
assertions that New Flag are in the pay of the intelligence services.

We now know Jay has the knowledge and technology and conviction
in reality to have sent the real photos he took of Luis and Marcelina
to Adolfo, to use as he thinks fit. Purposes which do not include
apologising to Marcelina for assuming she had no identity at all
but was just an extension of Luis, and even playing round with
this speculation as purported evidence that New Flag may be in
the pay of the intelligence services.

Meanwhile because Jay and Adolfo still believe their logic:
it suited them to play with the idea of scaring Marcelina and Luis
by publishing mock photos. The joke has a double meaning.

The logic behind these brutal actions, which are a joke now, but
need not be a joke in future, is the logic of the crimes of
the Cultural Revolution and of the Show Trials, whose sixtieth
anniversary occurs this year, and which have been defended by
Adolfo, and republished in London, I think by his publishing house.

A political opponent is first a fool, then an obstructor, then
a saboteur, then "objectively" an enemy agent, then *actually*
in the pay of the enemy. The differences do not matter. The
momentum of the self-righteous attack does.

There is no respect for rules of evidence. The victim is
stripped of dignity, pressurised by all means necessary and
intimidated for example by hints that his family may be harmed,
which can be implemented  if it takes the fancy
of those who are sure they have the correct marxist-leninist
line.

Those who conciliate with the rotten elements, are rotten elements
themselves. So guilt by association is a key part of the
stampede.

Adolfo and Jay can draw any lines of political demarcation
they wish with New Flag through open polemic on this l'st.
Let them do so.

However, I am still waiting for them however to respond to my
challenge to substantiate or withdraw their accusation that New Flag
are in the pay of the intelligence services. Sorry not to treat this
exclusively as a joke.
