    Gary, Zeynep, et all speak my mind for me on this subject. I have
been following my own delete list for a while, and somewhat reluctantly
added Chris to it several weeks ago because of his involvment in the
Peruvian Wars.

    I append that list below. If any of the rational people on the list
know something about one or another that I don't, write a short defense
of that person (either on the list or to me).

    1. ANY MESSAGE THAT HAS ITS SUBJECT LINE IN ALL CAPS.
    2. Malecki
    3. Rolf
    4. MIM
    5. Hugh R (somewhat reluctantly, but as Louis has pointed out, Hugh
        has sent too many 200 line tautologies which can't be enacted
        in practice)
    6. "Ruby" (Gina): Hers are sometimes interesting, but I don't have
        the time to distinguish.
    7. Any post (even from friends) with "Malecki" in the subject line
    8. "harriette"
    9. Chris B. (At least until (i) he drops out of the Maoist wars and
        (ii) he drops efforts to act as peacemaker on the list. When he
speaks for himself on concrete topics he is a positive on the list.

The following I do not automatically delete, but again they tend to be
too lengthy and tautological (trying to make theory do the work of concrete
analysis rather than guide concrete analysis), and so I delete unless I
have spare time:

    11. Miller       Others, but none on screen right now.
