Hi ,
Been wondering how long you are going to beat around the bush. Hoping that
you would give us not only reports from Turkey, but some political analisis.
Your reports were of interest but some of the politics were pretty horrible.
For example your saying that "around the time that Iran and Nicaragua were
ripped out of the hands of imperialism". In the first place nither Iran or
Nicaragua has been wripped out of the hands of imperialism. And it makes me
wonder what actually do you mean by this?
Obviously Islam is hardly a hot new topic. In Iran it was just the role of
Islam that was quite throughly discussed. In fact a good part of the left
failed the test. Not only did they see the Mullahs as having and
anti-imperialist dynamic, but can not even see the difference between
medevil religous fundementalism and bourgeois society. It also led to a
blood bath for the left groups in Iran..
However i will stop there. As you have promised to talk Turkey soon.
An Turkey in fact is far more important strategically at this point then you
would possibly believe. Because the left appears to be going down the line
of anti-imperialist Islam once again..I hope you prove me wrong!
