So? Is that good or bad? South Korea has grown stupendously with very
little FDI; Mexico has been one of the prime targets of FDI, and it's a
wreck. And that's just judging on purely capitalist terms. Time was when
Marxists called FDI a form of colonialism, something with which Africa is
all too familiar.
