Heya Godena,
I admit, I pondered for a while. All of 10 seconds. Should I forgive you?
You are foolish enough to think I'm nice just 'cause I'm trying to make up
for acting like an IDIOT. You do also help me access the internet through
your fax when my e-mail is being routed through the Himalayas. Should I forgive?
No way.
The EZLN does claim to be an indigenous movement. Does too. Yes, there may
be quotes abound when they call for unity. They constantly call themselves
"We, Indians", "We indigenous people", whatever.
I'm too lazy to dish up the quotes. It isn't the most important point anyway.
Also to illustrate that they view themselves as the voice of but one
segment; here's a quote I did dish up regarding alliance with the workers'
movement:
"It would not be within the EZLN; that common point of agreement would have
to be something bigger and wider. That's why we talk about a national
revolutionary movement. This point of correspondence would be around a point
larger than the EZLN. If someone raises that flag, we would go there..."
You better take my word for it. If you aren't convinced, I will go find a
million quotes. I'll fax and e-mail you to your knees.
Any other questions, brave one?
