I liked your points, John.
I suggest people compete - for credibility,- ultimately credibility
in their own eyes.
What gives life? enough conflict of ideas to be creative, not
so much as to be destructive. No I am not so gripped by football
mania as to want to kick your head in. But I am glad I raised the
temperature of my contribution about Stalin and Trotsky enough
to draw you interesting reply.
I would suggest good threads can drive out bad if participants
have the courage of their convictions, and also damp down the anger
fuelling the unproductive threads.
It is competitition for
energy. Better threads must be prepared to compete.
