THE TRUE STORY OF THE "TELEPHONE DIRECTIVE OF CHAIRMAN GONZALO" (1)

THE PLOT OF THE "INTERNATIONAL TELEPHONE CALL DIRECTIVE FROM CHAIRMAN GONZALO"

We are now beginning a series of articles to expose the true nature of the
phoney "MPP-USA"/New Flag/PCP Web Page which the Fujimori agent "Quispe" has
been used as a platform to carry out the objectives of US imperialism and
the genocidal dictator Fujimori as set out in "OPERATION AMBASSADORS" just a
few months after the capture of Chairman Gonzalo.

This long time strategy aimed at destroying the voice of those, like Luis
Arce Borja and Adolfo Olaechea, who have proven to be staunch, clear and
unflinching opponents of the capitualtion scheme which reaction has been
trying to use to drench the flames of the People's War in Peru and to defeat
the revolution, has as a key element the use of Zubatov style phoney MPPs
and the services of traitors and capitulators closely working with Avakian's
secretive Co-RIM organisation.  We shall begin with the story of the so
called "International Phone Call Directive from Chairman Gonzalo" which was
purportedly received by Javier Esparza Marquez ("the nephew") and
"validated", "guaranteed" and publicised by Carlos and Delia La Torre ("the
parents in law") at their place of residence in Stockholm, Sweden.

We shall tell try to tell this story from the beginning, so that memebers of
the list can get a clear idea of the gravity of this plot and its importance
for the counter-revolutionary plans of US imperialism and Peruvian reaction.

When Chairman Gonzalo, the leader of the PCP and the Peruvian revolution was
captured in September 1992 the regime, after controlling its blood thirsty
fever which led it to toy with executing the captured revolutionary leader
forthwith, specially after the courageous leader's defiant "continue with
the People's War" speech (October 24, 1992), given from inside the very
circus cage where the fascist dictator exhibited him to the international
press as his most valuable trophy, Fujimori set to work in an alternative
course of action undertaken under the most sophisticated advise on the part
of Yankee counter-intelligence services.

They concocted a plot which now has become famous as the "peace letters
plot".  A plot completely and totally - 100% - fabricated by US secret
services and the Fujimori regime.  For this purpose they began to deal on
two fronts, in Peru, and abroad.  The aim was to foster capitulation by
means of so called "negotiations", the tried and tested method by which
quite a few revolutionary movements in Latin America and other parts of the
world have been derailed or bought off by the imperialists and the
reactionary ruling classes.

In Peru, they sought out, among the thousands of war prisoners, those who at
one time or another had been expelled from the Party for capitulating to the
enemy to seek preferential treatment in the prisons.  Fujimori now
proceeded, by means of cajolery, enticements and other means, to enrol them
in his joint proyect with the US counter-insurgency experts.  That is why
the Central Committee speaks of the peace letter's plot as NOTHIGH BUT A
MONTAGE OF THE US IMPERIALISTS AND THE INTELLIGENCE SERVICE OF THE FUJIMORI
REGIME, together with turncoats, old revisionists, traitors and capitulators.

Paralelly, and with the assistance of these traitors as "contacts", the
agents of Fujimori established relations with an old revisonist who had
deceived the PCP and who had long been pushing ultra-left opportunists
policies by means of his position as head of the Peru People's Movement
(MPP) within the work of Solidarity with the People's War abroad.  His name:
Javier Esparza.  His base: The city of Stockholm, Sweden. His trump cards:
Working closely with and enjoying the largesse and facilities of Avakian's
Co-Rim apparatus.

Esparza, is a nephew of the La Torres, the parents of Comrade Norah, the
greatest heroine of the Party and the revolution, a combatant of the
Peruvian people who gave her life in battle for the Party and the
revolution, not for any selfish reasons nor to protect her family or gain
them any special privileges.  She died before the Chairman had been
captured. It is true that because of that family association, the La Torre
family enjoyed the respect and trust of the many Peruvian exiles symphatetic
to the People's War, not only in Sweden but all over Europe.

THE ROLE OF CO-RIM in promoting the "Defense of the Life of Dr. Guzman"
around the La Torre family and in seeking "legal" contacts with the Fujimori
regime was to be reflected in the way the International Emergency Committee
was set upon its tasks with a "bourgeois humanist" orientation.

This International Emergency Committee was launched in a press Conference in
London shortly after the trial of Dr. Guzman.  Prominent "guest stars" in
this campaign: Carlos and Delia La Torre who gave press interviews and spoke
movingly of how much love they had for their "son in law, the wisest and
sweetest man, exemplary University professor Dr. Abimael Guzman" -
Evidently, Chairman Gonzalo, the Maoist leader, was already, from the very
kick off of that campaign manipulated by Co-RIM, relegated to a secondary
plane, and all hopes were placed on "bourgeois humanitarians" to help save
the life of "Dr. Guzman".
