Readers must have been horrified to read about Nazis marching
in Auschwitz some weeks ago. Polish anti-fascists reacted
with the same disgust.

We're glad to inform you that about 400 people last month
picketed the Warsaw headquaters of the fascists who organised
the march, demanding the closure of their office.

The picket was organised by Solidarnosc Socjalistyczna, Socialist
Worker's sister organisation, and the youth wing of the Polish
Socialist Party.

A solidarity union banner was on the demonstration as one workplace
committee supported the picket.

This is an important step in broadening the anti fascist movement.

Members of a Jewish students' organisation also joined the picket
and so did some local people who said they felt threatened by the
fascist office next door.

The Nazis were supposed to be having a "conference" inside.

As a result of our picket a handful of them sat frightened
inside, protected by a large number of police.
