[jim59@ally.ios.com: LIUNA REFORM]
Maybe some of you can think of some ways to help these
people. They are trying to rid their union of mob influence. This is from
the "United" list and I don't have all the information. I'll get it (I'm on
the list) if anyone wants the info.

Subject: Re: LIUNA Corruption
The effort to reform the Laborers'International Union of North America
kicks off on Memorial day-the day we remember those who fought and
died for labor. A McGough died at Haymarket Square in Chicago in the
struggle by labor for its rights-one of which is freedom from corruption.
My ancestors did not spill their blood in vain and neither will I. The
time has come and passed for laborers to stand up for their rights. The
demand and struggle for justice begins in earnest on May 27,1966.
The laborers union needs the help of all good men and women in the
labor movement-in the struggle for justice-for the common good. I know
you're tired, I know you're busy. But brothers ans sisters-we need your
help. The forces against us are rich and powerful. They have the resources
mailing lists, money, political connection, vested interests. We only
have the RIGHTNESS of our cause, the HOPE that others care, and the
WILL to see it through. All it takes for EVIL to triumph is for good
men to do nothing. We all must contribute what little we have.

If anyone reading this would like to help us rid LIUNA of mob influence
let me know. In Chicago, I need access to windows 95, Caereware software
that will scan text and convert it into computer digestible info, Ascii.
I need info on storing fax files temporarily as gif files and what is
the minimum configuration people will need to see faxed documents,ie
Labor Management reports that detail excessive salaries, attached to
an email text file.
