Liberals, "unionists" speak of repression in Belarus
Whenever I hear of an "independent" east european trade union cozying up to
the likes of Poland's Solidarity, I reach for my Winchester.
And it is no surprise to see the Trotskyites all in a lather over Margaret
Thatcher's favority "labor" leaders. Practically to a man, they drooled
over Lech Walesa's wholesale sell-out of the Polish workers to western
investment capital ("At last," cooed Tony Cliff in 1981 when Reagan
introduced ole' Lech to an adoring capitalist world, "a chance for REAL
socialism!"). Only the US Spartacist League, to their great credit, saw
through the
charade.
So, Mr Guevera, tell us more about these "independent" unions. Are they,
too, wholly owned subsidiaries of the US State Department, the Vatican, and
the good ole' "AFL-CIA"?
