To whom...,
I will put forward the proposition that the real value of the LPA, in
any event, is that it suggests to reformist lefties all over the map that the
rights of labor should be their organizing principle. Now, they may not have
the candle-power to take the next logical step, but if they stop seeing
labor as just another interest group, at least they won't be so annoying. It
might help shape labor up too. As an interest group, they focus on
"consolidating" and carping. As leaders of progressivism, they may feel
compelled to perform.
