Are high gas price burning you up?

You can just keep paying, or you can do something to fight back.

Join in a Boycott of TEXACO.

We are all paying for TEXACO's greed.

The May 7th L.A. Times has an article showing that TEXACO is the
driving force behind the outrageous prices we are paying for gas.
Even while crude oil prices were going DOWN, TEXACO was raising
their gas prices. When all the other companies saw that TEXACO
was getting away with it, they all raised their prices to cash in.

This has led to a huge surge in refiners' margins - the difference
between what refiners pay for oil and what they receive for gasoline.
These margins increased from 21.3 cents in December to 46.4 cents in
April, according to the energy commission, contributing to sharply
higher profits for major oil companies.

Even if you don't drive, you are paying for this. The cost of shipping
is going up to cover gas price increases, and that means the price of
everything that is moved by truck will be going up. This will hurt
everyone (except the oil companies). It will cost more to feed yourself
or your children, buy clothing, or even get medicine. It might even
cost you your job, if it gets too expensive to do business in California.

We can let TEXACO know we don't appreciate this. Even if you don't use
TEXACO, give them a call at their toll free number, and let them know
you are joining the boycott against them.  Also, please pass this
along to everyone you know. If we get enough people to join in, TEXACO
might get the message.
