Minimum Wage again. Reminder of an earlier point by Doug.

    Someone or other on this list made some idiotic remark about the
minimum wage remaining as it used to be, meaning that it has gone
up.

    Idiot! As Doug pointed out fairly recently, because of inflation
the minimum wage has been going steadily down for years (decades?). If
its connection to jobs was so tight, we'd have jobs going begging. If
(as the bourgeois myth goes) raising the minimum reduces employment,
shouldn't lowering it as has been happening raise employment?
