I have been following the labor paty debate for a time now and it appears to
me that it is a top steered reformist operation all down the line. The
interesting thing about it is the question. has the situation in the United
States gotten to the point where the need of a reformist labor is neccessary
to dupe the masses or not? Do we need this development or not? Is it and
absolute step that must be taken by the American proletariat or not. And of
course how we approach this process...

Naturally i do not think that people should just ignore this stuff. But the
interesting thing is what is going to happen. Bureaucratic exclusions
already appear to be on the order of the day. The program is hardly
something to stand up and applaud. Nor is the trade union bureaucrats who
are paying lip service to the new formation really that interesting.

I guess i at least at present have and attitude of wait and see. Discuss
program with these people rather then the bureaucratic organisational forms
and let see what happens. It might just be a reformist hiccup then something
real.

My experience with the American proletariat is that it is far more explosive
then prepared for long time reformist transformation of society. Perhaps
many of the action groups and activities going on around the country would
be a better place to start. A national strike support action grupp or urban
poor action groups, or a myriad of other formations that exist and could be
developed..This of course includes the unions. But just this labor party
alternative.Is it real or just  some sort of fake reformist illusion and hat
trick.

But as i said i see this from exile and will not condemn nor support this
move. However intervening in this envionment if it is real is important to
discuss here.
