I know that the ranks of these unions (I know the ILWU from personal
experience) clearly see the LPA as a cynical device by the bureaucrats to
support the Democrats and try to pressure them to the left a little. Don't
assume the treacherous, anti-communist US labor hacks to be the "workers"

To be real to most workers (who are mostly nowadays unemployed or in
non-union jobs), a labor party movement must have radical class demands and
try to organize actions around them...maybe something likemobilizing mass
pickets at strike sites, organizing new unions and fighting for winning
tactics like secondary pickets and boycotts (illegal under Taft
Hartley)...also some anti-racist mass actions around the Mexican border and
in areas where the skinheads are attacking people...things to show the
class there is a non-electoral way to victory by organizing itself

Now do you think the current LPA leaders and their leftist "advisors" could
advocate or organize such things???? If you're serious, you should call
for such things now in the LPA, and see what happens. The US labor
bureaucracy can be split in a time of mass labor upsurge, but the current
crew is about 90% traitors...Democrats all.
