Re: Higher wages: bad for Wall Street, good for Main Street

From: Joe Koenigsman [jokoe@xxxxxxxxx], North Dakota

Referring to my comment that minimum wage should not only be raised, but
it should be raised to $15 per hour:

Brian Carnell said,

No Brian, I worked in the U.S.DOL Job Service system 22 years, and I
assure you, raising the minimum wage, will not cause job loss, or create
unemployment. It never has in the past, and it never will in the future.
And, substandard wages, below the minimum wage are unconscionable, for
any reason.

You never responded to my follow-on comment, "It's time people
realized that prosperity in a country, is gained by assuring, that the
lowest paid workers will earn enough to pay for food and rent, instead
of kissing up to callous right wing business interest."

As for my accolade, of Rodwell's comment that, "If you want to give
these "entrepreneurs" a blowjob, don't keep trying to impress them, just
call them up"; I still think it was a proper remark for individuals of
your thinking process.

To my comment "that you should follow Rodwell's "subtle" suggestion,"
you answer with question, "Does this have something to do with the
thread on homosexuality that was active recently?"

To that stupid question, I'll give clear answer:

"For your information, I happen to have a hetrosexual orientation, but
I don't suffer from homophobia like so many ignorant "right wingers" do.
Rodwell's comment had nothing to do with any individual's sexual
orientation. It only relates to the way, you ingratiate yourself to
business interests, by kissing their asses!"

And fact, that you'd relate the comment, to another person's sexual
orientation, clearly indicates, you're a first class homophobic. With
your education, you should realize, it's not a person's orientation
that's a danger to the world; it's the bigotry that homophobia brings
to human thinking. But, there's something far worse, than that danger;
and, it's the attitudes you "right wingers" have, regarding workers, and
human beings in general.

No Brian, Rodwell's comment to you had nothing to do with the recent
thread on homosexuality. It was a pointed remark, aimed directly at you,
and wasn't meant to insult individuals, with different orientations, by
categorizing them with you.
