The one day general strike in Finland has been called off. The trade union
bureaucracy made a deal. It was one of those typical "scandinavian"
compromises where the government demanded more cuts and the trade union made
a lot of noise about strike and then the workers on the dole will get less
then they do now. But the trasde union bureaucrats are calling this a
"victory" and that they have shown that the tradeunions are on the side of
the unemploted.

It was a big fucking show. Now we will have to see if the workers are duped
by this circus and if there is any opposition to the "deal"...
