Re: replies to any thoughts for Oz.

Robert,

What you wrote in reply to my post is very interesting. Unfortunately I
missed your first post on Sweden,(could you repost) but your comments are
terribly relevant. The CPA here adapted in the late 70s-early 80s what they
called the Swedish model for Australia. That was the trade union Accord
with the government, and big business. They sold the idea to the Labor
Parety and the ACTU and the result was they set us up now for an all out
onslaught from the Right.

I agree the Labor Party is hopeless, but in these circumstances I still work
for a return of a labor govt. better a contradictory force than one which
will seek to pulverize the working class. Now I think that that is a
traditional Leninist way to approach the problem. the other aspect of it
all is to build a party. I simply am too isolated to even do more than make
propaganda for it as I do whenever I get the chance.

But what kind of party? I have in mind here Louis P.'s criticism of the
traditional Trotskyist-Leninst Left. he could throw in the Maoists too. C.
calls for bloody revolution. I am sure these calls make him feel better. I
certainly hope so because they are not worth a bucket of spit in the present
conjuncture here in australia. They take us no where. Believe me.

regards

Gary
