The largemouth bass is inestimable in its importance. For strictly
comparative purposes, however, we could add up everything people spend on
fishing tackle, producing fishing shows, boats, etc..
The LTV interpretation of this is that the bass is not a "raw"
material, but an entity that does the work of biting down hard on plastic
worms and spinnerbaits, bulldogging under lilypads and jumping in the air.
This is especially relevant for the fishermen who do not then consume this
"resource" but release it to perform again, or join the general strike I
often encounter.
