Charter of marxism list

We have to write a new intro sheet for the marxism list, if only in
order to put in the names of the new co-moderators.  At this time we
have three co-moderators:

Bryan Alexander
Ken Howard
and myself (Hans Ehrbar)

Tom Condit is in limbo.  He never resigned, and he also did not reply
to my queries whether he still considered himself one of the
co-moderators.

Regarding the content of the info sheet, here is my personal view
(which I have not checked with the co-moderators, although I have
argued a little bit along these lines on the spoon collective, and
have had a sympathetic response from Lisa, which I value very much):
The primary purpose of this list remains discussion of Marxian theory,
but we should add one sentence to the effect that

We consider it our active responsibility to make the knowledge of this
list available to those who are fighting for human emancipation.

This is what we have been doing with Adolfo (someone called it "taking
on Adolfo thought"), and he has proven himself to be an excellent
sport.  I think the recent debates with Adolfo will in the long run
contribute to making the PCP a more effective force against
imperialism.  The awareness that we have a resource which others need,
and that it is our responsibility to make these resources available to
them, will also have its echoes in bringing more relevance to the
theoretical discussion on the list.  But I am strongly opposed to
imposing rules on this list.  We are responsible grownups.  This does
not mean that we may not sometimes have to boot out the occasional
weirdo or fascist trying to disrupt the list.  Spoon will back us in
this.
