Louis:
I myself have to admit to leading a totally priviliged life. You might even
call me bourgeois and decadent.
Each morning starts out the same way for me. My faithful servant
Grimley brings me a cup of tea while I draw inspiration from
French poetry of the late 19th century, usually Baudelaire. I enjoy
listening to some Frescobaldi or Gesualdo on the stereo while I collect
my thoughts. You can see me as a rather quaint and archaic sort who
favors velvet smoking-jackets, a prince-nez eyepiece and the occasional
opium pipe.
Some years ago I tried my hand at spot-welding but it didn't work out,
alas. I think I have found just the right niche for myself as a rather
dilettantish semi-Marxist man of letters. I am cheered by the thought,
however, that someday you and your comrades will be in power in the
United States at the helm of a proletarian dictatorship. Please keep me
in your thoughts and put in a good word for me if ever the masses seek
to bring me before a tribunal.
