i looked up the Philosophical Forum issue on the Young Hegelians; i have
read these articles but it is not the issue or the journal i had in
mind. However, my problem is that i could not locate the journal and
issue i have in mind. But when i have more time, mid-march, i will
definitely locate this very good and important issue.
i think it was published between 1930-1950 (does anyone know this journal
i have in mind). Ralph this is an issue that cannot be missed. Also
there is a new book on Feuerbach, i have ordered it *Feuerbach and the
Critique of Religion*? (1995).
also i liked very much Ralph's comments that the problem for the Young
Hegelians (e.g. Feuerbach) was moving from the abstract to the concrete.
This is their critique of Hegel and Religion, but they (YHs) also fail to
make concrete their critiques. Actually this is also a problem of Marx
himself. However, he always is attempting to explain the concrete
(i.e. the conditions of the working class, economic crises, etc.) rather
then aplogize for them.
