I appreciate Dan's thoughtful contribution to the discussion. It
does address the "impasse" question that Godena has referred to in his
post suggesting a reading list. For the health of the list, I urge
everybody to take a deep breath and try to pull back from the accusatory
tone prevalent in the PCP discussion. <snip>

I think the question of the validity of accusations of PCP "atrocities"
is worth continuing within the general framework of analyzing
anti-Communist propaganda. I think it is possible to prove that most
anti-PCP propaganda is motivated more by their politics than their
actions, <snip>

Louis P.: you were right before, you are wrong now. This thread is going
nowhere. It's like having a dialogue with Stalin's Press Secretary. What
do you say to people who are presented with OVERWHELMING evidence from
"pro-imperialist" forces like Amnesty International, NACLA, and MR and
whose ONLY answer ultimately is "anti-Communist propaganda"? What do you
say to these people who also defend Stalin and Mao and/or Hoxfa and who
continue to make insinuations about Carlos?
There is NOTHING left to discuss with these people. They are
Stalinist apologists -- pure and simple.
