Re: T.A. JACKSON & 1930S BRITISH COMMUNISM

Did your e-mail address change since January? I can't figure out
why you didn't get my message. Anyway, I will not have time to
read Jack Lindsay's book soon. I am unlikely to find time soon to
read his MARXISM AND CONTEMPORARY SCIENCE, which I have also and
is next on my list. I would love to get Lindsay's book on
ballistics. His stuff is impossible to find in the USA. Now I
have only 3 of his hundred-plus books.

BTW, today I reviewed a hell of a lot of Blake criticism, and
Lindsay's two books were mentioned. So somebody has paid
attention.

This survey of Blake scholarship was written long before E.P.
Thompson's last book WITNESS AGAINST THE BEAST came out.
Interestingly, regarding Blake and social criticism, the book
cited after the number one book on this subject, David Erdman's
seminal PROPHET AGAINST EMPIRE, is E.P. Thompson's THE MAKING OF
THE ENGLISH WORKING CLASS!

As for that didgeridoo. In actual fact, its owner invited me to
blow it, but I didn't want to exchange bodily fluids, so I
declined. Please don't take this personally.

I may be a mean mother, but is the didge treatment any worse than
fist-fucking, which I was told in the late 70s was performed a lot
in New York bars? I am out of step with what's happening. I
haven't done any bars since I left Buffalo, where I used to sing
Bessie Smith lyrics. "Kiss any man, they wants it every day."
