The parable of Urep
Once upon a time there was a village named Msixram.
Anyone could immigrate to Msixram so long as they could afford the magic box
and the line-on connection.
Many moons passed while the diverse residents of Msixram communicated
about topics of joint interest.
Then, one day a new breed of immigrants immigrated to Msixram. They were
worshipers of the hated dead despots Nilats, Oam, and Afxoh.
They called upon the residents of Msixram to support a murderous Oamist
and Nilatsist organization in Urep called the Dark Road.
One of the leaders of Msixram was an Oamist who also supported the Dark
Road in Urep. Most of the residents of Msixram, though, were appalled by
the Nilatsist, Oamist, and Afxoh apologists.
For a long time the two sides "discussed" the Dark Road. Some such as
Glouis, Qluis, and Dmatty charged that all of the charges against the
Dark Road were tsilairepmi lies. They accused everyone who was critical
of the Dark Road of being a S.U. tsilairempi agent.
Some of the long-term residents of Msixram decided to emigrate since they
feared that Msixram would become a home for too many Nilatsists and
Oamists and they didn't want to live in Msixram if it became a Nilatsist
dictatorship. Other residents decided that the best thing to do was to
remain silent.
In the end, the village of Msixram divided into two groups who refused to
talk to each other. The Nilatsists were very upset by this. The village,
however ... after a turbulent period of time went back to discussing
topics that Msixramists are interested in and the few Nailatsists, such
as Glouis, Qluis, Llet, and Dmatty were isolated and only talked to each
other.
However, Glouis, Qluis, Llet, and Dmatty discovered that they had many
disagreements with each other. Some even called the others Setiykstort!
The village of Msixram was never the same afterwards. Some said it was
worse. Some said it improved.
The Dark Road, meanwhile, continues to murder those in Urep who want the
light rather than darkness.
THE END
