the State of the List

There's enough good stuff to keep me here, but this discussion just gets
more dismal, or my patience with it gets thinner, every day. The world is
hurtling towards various disasters, yet we're plagued with lunatics and
sectarians. Poor Marx, that all this should be done in his name.
