> Not true. Although the walls are being used extensively to call
call the masses for strikes and post simple political slogans,
they have not being used for such purpose. The PCP is very rigorous
and strict in practicing self-criticism, this is people's war of almost
16 years, the Party has grown and the Base Areas are more extense. The
documents of the PCP ["Rectification Campaign with People's War yes, and
elections no"], and others, criticize the way some comrades in the
countryside has acted in wiping out the landowners and thiefs based
solely on the wishes of the masses. In other words, when you have
the fury of thousands of peasants, many of them members of the People's
Army, who were exploited for centuries, and suddenly they take over the
land and capture the hated landowner: It is hard for the Party to avoid
the people not to settle accounts with their former master. The Party
has criticized these types of incidents based on Maoist principles that
we must cure the patient, give the people (even the hated landlord to
correct themselves and serve the people).
There has been graffity in the walls of Lima done by SIN (the Peruvian
CIA), in which the PCP allegedly "acknowledge" the crimes committed
by the genocidal armee forces. But the people know these traps well,
is is easy for the PCP to take over 3-4 radio stations and do the
disclaimer. Sometimes, helicopters drop leaflets at night time in
which the PCP calls for "peace talks" and to halt the armed struggle.
What they have not done to slander this revolution?
> Reports suggest an abating of the armed struggle in 1994 and 1995. If sum

> No. We compile and have extensive data on the political and military
actions of the PCP, just yesterday Feb. 13, a PCP contingent of 150
attacked an army garrison in the province of San Martin -according to
figures of the Army, 15 Army officers were killed and 50 wounded]
The PCP generally release the soldiers (a wise policy since soldiers
are treated like animals by officers and hate to death their superiors).
We will send a summary on the main actions of the PCP in 1994 and 1995.

> No. Historically the PCP has done political work amongts the Ashinanka
people, this base area is currently a bastion of the PCP, the Ashaninka
youth has been incorporated massively in the People's Army, the regime
has launched several offensives there without success. In the 60's
and 70's the PCP was already competing politically with the US's Summer
Institute of Linguistics and the Evangelical Church in the Ashaninka lands.
The work of the PCP did not fall from the sky, it was done patiently and
inteligently. In the late 80's it become a military stronhold of the PCP,
a People's Committee was established. The Catholic Church came in along
the Army who bagan to set up the rondas [the paramilitary].
Ther is when henyos crimes are committed by the Army, they burned
completely the 5 main villages and executed several members of the Party.
On top of that the regime accused the PCP of killing them (including
to several authorities of the People's Committees), AI who was not there
at all, folllowed suit. There is a coordinadora of HHRR in Lima, also
deprived and its wings cut to verify the mass graves. But there is the
people, only the people who know the true.
> Is Abimael Guzman still held in solitary confinement? Is his lawyer
> still under arrest? What are his conditions now?
> Yes. He is. Fujimori said last year he has 3 years to live, in total
isolation, slandered (SIN even fabricate letters and videos) calling
for surrender and "begging for talks", pure psychological warfare.
An the imperialist media, including the pestilent liberal outlets
in the US, participate in trying to demistify the myth of an great
Communist. His lawyer is under arrest "life imprisonment" for
having the guts of sefending Chairman Gonzalo, there is no evidence
that he was a member of the Party. He was progressive lawyer
member of the Democratic Lawyers (accused falsely by the regime of being a
front of Sendero). Dr. Alfredo Crespo (lawyer of Gonzalo), is very
sick according to his mother (78), she told me lately that she prefers
her son die in prison for his principles than to capitulate to the
murderous regime [apparently the regime wanted to used him to name
who his clients were in the past.]

> We do not look for endorsements. It is up to the conscience of every one
to take a position on this issue. The enemy is 1,000 miles ahead
from us with its lies and slanders against the People's War, but the
true will catch them up soon.
