Only through the first third of it. I have found the critical discussion
of Althusser (which includes a very helpful articulation of his main
theses) to be very helpful and convincing. I look forward to finishing it,
along with Felton Shortall's *The Incomplete Marx* and the many other works
I am trying to get through. By the way, there is an important criticism of
Kitching's other book on Marx by Murray E..G. Smith, "Alienation,
Exploitation and Abstract Labor: A Humanist Defense of Marx's Theory of
Value" in Review of Radical Political Economics, vol 26 (1) 110-133 (1994).
By the way, the exchange on working class subjectivity has been very
thought-provoking; welcome Hugh Rodwell.
