I am someone who has frequently gotten on old Uncle
Lou's case about quite a few things. However I support Lisa's
and his proposal for a cyberseminar on Cuba. What Lou suggested
as a set of topics to be discussed strikes me as being very
reasonable and potentially informative and interesting. Clearly
there is much that many of us can learn and there are some very
important issues, both theoretical and practical, that come to
a head in Cuba.
I would, however, certainly hope that there would be no effort
to censor other threads, as apparently happened at least once during
the fascism cyberseminar. That is totally inappropriate and if it
were to occur it would make the cyberseminar unacceptable. Maybe it
can be organized with a STRICT promise that that will not occur.
