Subject: AF of Hell/Staley--one more nail in union coffin!

Dear  friends,

Well, I guess that latest report of how the AFof Hell's UPIU union #7837
completed yet another politically incestuous deal with the capitalist bosses at
Staley and threw (and had the cops throw out) the fired staley workers out of
their own local union hall. Errr, i think their dues monies might even still be
paying the rent , utilities, equipment, staff for the "new " gang of labor
fakers in command under a new  capitalist labor lieutenant named   Mr.
Shinall!!!!

Gee., maybe we can draw some good lessons from this combination of union led
disaster and treachery! Shinall's dirty work with Mr. Glenn of the UPIU
'International"  union says it all, Banning the fired workers from the hall
--lest they continue the struggle for ALL the workers and continue the struggle
with industrial  guerrilla actions  and mass  protest tactics.

No problem for the labor fakers  with mountains more  class  affinity  with the
company  than with  the workers.  This is the nature of bourgeois trade unionism
in our epoch. Collaboration with the CIA, FBI, professional anti-communist
propaganda and goons against the left, radicals, even milquetoast  union
"reformers"! Bankrupt tactics to control and derail any serious militant class
fightback.  But many tens of millions for the Democrats in every election, and
throw in a few Republicans for good measure!
Don't be surprised if the AFL/CIO starts sucking up to very open reaction like
Perot or Buchanan  if these forces look like the system may take their demagogy
seriously-- and the corporate media is promoting it more! The union  hacks like
the "populist' right wing , esp. their "opposition" to WTO and NAFTA along with
the backward nationalist  workers- PAY-triotism!

But back at Staley in Decatur, Il. Mr Duncan's informative message should
educate us comrades! Study it well. It is yet another nail in the coffinn of the
AFL/CIOs brand of "unionism" which is more resembling a unique form of company
unionism.-American style.

The article points out that both the AFL/CIO (workers dues) and the Staley
company are BOTH going to pay Mr. union president  Shinall's salary!! And why
not ?He is an excellent servant for the bourgeoisie and a trojan horse for the
waged workers!
The union apparatus had performed excellently for the bosses per the usual!

The Staley ex-workers banned from their hall should continue their struggle by
all means necessary  to get their hall back and spread their struggle to reach
workers in other industries and their present supporters. If  Staley and this
"union' say these workers are trouble makers, and  then finger them to the cops
and get them smacked around, there must be a lot of good qualities in these
exStaley  workers! I can't believe the ranks going back to work will really
desert their fellow  workers whom they fought the rich  capitlaists  shoulder to
shoulder with.

No doubt Shinall and the UPIU are also probably working out a deal to "unionize'
the Scabs inside the plant that the company will keep on. The AFL/CIO did this
at Hormel and in other  "lost' strikes(strikes they knifed!) and their labor
merchandizing  business will dictate they may do so here, if they can get away
with it.

Workers and others perhaps should use a new code-word meaning  getting screwed
or stabbed in the back by the company and the union . They have been
Shinalled!!!
The Staley workers and their supporters  should continue their just struggle and
not let the bosses and their labor fakers have their way!
