Louis: Godena, you just don't seem to understand the point I'm making.
You volunteered to do a report on Dmitrov. So did Gary. Gary pointed
out that Dmitrov repudiated the antifascism of the "left turn". This policy
made no distinction between the German social democracy and the the Nazis.

This seems to be the policy of the Shining Path. They are like
the pre-corrected Communist International, before it embarked on the
popular front. Which policy are you for? Which policy is the Shining Path
for?

It would occur to me that its the former. You and the Shining Path strike me
as unreconstructed Stalinists from 1929, before Dmitrov's correction. They
and you seem both to embrace a policy of: either you are *with* the Shining
Path or *against* the revolution. This seems to be a slightly lacking in
the dialectical department, if you gather my drift. This sort of stuff
went out of style with the Weatherman and the Black Panther Party,
remember them?

Well, maybe the "third period" approach will work this time around. Last
time it led to Hitler's victory, but maybe you think it's worth another
shot. Don't you think we should try to learn from history? Granted,
Dmitrov was a bit muddled, but at least he put the "third period"
nonsense behind him. Don't you want to follow in this great Communist's
footsteps. Western Massachussetts needs more Dmitrovs, doesn't it?
