Market and Capitalist Socialism

I appreciate two points in Boddhi's comments,

1) that he humoured me by not addressing me by title and surname,
because I prefer to be addressed by my first name.

2) that he addressed the essence of my concern directly

<<<
Chris brings up an excellent point about unequal accumulation of
capital, which, under a syndicalist market socialism, would certainly occur,
and probably to an unacceptable extent.>>>

I am not sure I understand the image of the supermarket which follows,
but I would accept it if this is a way of getting at the overall point
that the total amount of exchange value in a society is related to the
total amount of commodity producing labour.

I am glad too that Boddhi appears to accept
that such processes as the uneven accumulation of capital
would cause unacceptable difficulties

Under capitalism this is dealt with by the periodic destruction or at
least discounting of sections of capital, relative to the overall
exchange value of society.

I am unclear how this function would be
carried out under syndicalist market socialism.

Pure thought experiments here run the danger of being utopian. I would
rather read examples of how this function has been carried out in practice
in socialist societies.
