Comrade, I don't particularly care what the bourgeoisie celebrates. What I
do care about, is whether or not an organzation can see straight. Whether
or not the CP is an effective organization is a matter for serious debate.
In my few years as a commie, I've only met 3 CP members that I was aware
of, and they were all at a lit table at a conferece organized by us
useless Trots. I've met more Maoists than CPers.
You seem to think that its an either or proposition, either we criticize
capitialism or the CPUSA. Well, I can, and do, do both, and more. I
criticize Maoists, Trotskyists, Social Dems, and more, all the while I
attack capitalism. Why? Cuz we do a bunch of things that hurt our cause,
and if we don't send time looking at our errors and crimes we won't win.
And that's what I want to do, win. As soon as possible, with as little
mess as we can make, but win, nevertheless.
And, as far as the Koreas go, most of us who are horrified at the DPRK
also point out that the ROK has murdered hundreds of thousands of its own
people, it used flame throwers on a unarmed demonstration. But remember
your audience. Here, amongst ourselves, it isn't as necessary to
constantly harp about capitalism. We wouldn't be here if we didn't agree
with that, except maybe Chris Sciabarra. But we do have time to try and
refine what it is that we do. And criticising each other, in a comradely
fashion, is hat we should do, among other things.
