You lack evidence to repeat such vicious slander generated by the
Peruvian military and its US advisors military advisors as part of
their psychological warfare against the Peruvian people.
It is a normal course of business of the "mainstream media, NY Times,
Wall Streel and others-- or the alternative liberal media "Nacla,
Nation, New Republic, The Guardian ..to attack the revolution, the
reason is simple: they defend the old order.
The real killers are the fascist military. They wipe out entire villages
(case of Accormarca and Huanta), the genocide in the prison of Fronton
(murder of 300 political prisoners), Cantogrande (100), genocide of
La Cantuta, Barrios Altos (two families were murdered by Grupo Colina)
and on and on. Who are the murderers, my friend?

To state that the assassinations like the one described

Where is the evidence? Absolute garbage. Campesinos do not need to be
intimidated, they have a long history of struggles (including guerrilla
movements). The US government is the one who claim that the genocides of
Fujimori are isolated to justify its economic and military regime to the
murderous regime. The PCP did not pop up overnight in the andes. They were
there all their lives. Most of the PCP leaders in the interior are
of peasant origin, the PCP controlled for years the Peasant Federation of
Ayacucho (ask Senderologist Degregori if you want) for example. The retreat
of the leadrship to the copuntryside occurred in the early 70's
(reconstitution of the PCP).

The Indians, who are devoutly Christian,

Firstable, the term "indian" and christianity were imposed in Peru
through blood and fire by European conquerors. As a foreign influence
religion became part of the culture of our people (the PCP does not agree
with terms such as "national identity.") But it did not pacify the
peasant struggle that for centuries have been shaking up the Peruvian
society. The struggle for land is the central issue. It is with
the emerging of the proletariat that the peasantry link their struggle
with the cities. Mariategui, has explained the issue that the day the
peasantry achieve class consciousness will begin the final revolution in
Peru, we believed that is has been acheived. That's why there is raging
People's War.

This is misleading. There is no such "reeducation" criticized by
anti-comunists. The PCP has people schools run by the same members
of the commnities who at some degree participate in the revolution.
The members and supporters of the revolution are made by an alliance of
classes, the proletariat, the peasants, the progressives, under the
leadership of the proletariat through the Party. However, it is
important to point that the majority of the People's Army of Liberation
(including the military leadres) are of peasant origin. No need to say
they don't speak Quechua -they were born and lived there- unless you ask,
how did learn Spanish?
