Re: DPRK and Louis Godena, Kevin Cabral, Charlotte Kates and Jerry Levy

Jerry Levy's calling Louis Godena's position "stalinist apologetica" is
simply nonsense. People on the left who don't like another's position
constantly resort to calling people and their positions "stalinist", which is
a negative and counter-productive phenomenon. There is not one honest
criticism of Louis's position contained in this comment. Louis's words, an
honest socialist-to-socialist country, revolutionary-to-revolutionary
government clear-headed analysis of the situation, a comradely critique yet
taken together, positive account of this nation, are not assessed or
discussed. All that Louis says in his thoughtful post is dismissed in two
words:"Stalinist apologetica." Louis's comments are a critical understanding
of history, but not solely hiustory, of present society. The DPRK is not a
nation of the past. It is not consigned to history. Our analysis of the
situation is not based on attracting people to socialism here. The CPUSA's
program calls for "Bill of Rights Socialism USA". This country has a
different tradition than the DPRK. I will continue to support and solidarize
with the DPRK as a revolutionary socialist country. None is perfect. But I
will never reject any based on that fact. On with the Struggle! Comradely,
Charlotte
