How many marxists can you fit on the head of
a pin,with or with
out their inflated egos.

Hi RMAXX, from AOL
It just so happens that I asked Majordomo to give me a list of subscribers
on 17th Jan, so unless you were lurking before, and have
popped back in again, you are an absolute newcomer.
I need to advise you that your cheerfully provocative greeting, may
produce some lively and interesting points but might not entirely be compatible
with the list culture that participants have evolved. (ahem..)
There is some danger you might be perceived as a hostile intruder, although
the great majority of the list will roll by largely ignoring any fireworks.
If you have a specific question however challenging, about why you suspect
marxism is so irrelevant, that could be the subject of valuable debate
from which you might feel you get something. The list is open to non-marxists
as well as marxists.
If you wish to participate constructively your will find yourself welcomed
by many people. If you wish to have a bit of a knock-about that can happen too.
The list is self-moderated in that many subscribers will take an active role
themselves in commenting on matters relevant to moderation. There is a group
of 6 co-mods of whom one is myself, who have absolutely no power except
the strength, that we all contribute *differently* and we all keep in touch.
Although we are overdue to update the info sheet for newcomers, much is
relevant in what you have already received. In order to get the best from
your stay, I would advise you to lurk for a week, and identify the
threads and the participants with which/whom you would most like to engage.
But the choice is yours.
Take care,
Chris B,
London, co-mod.
