More thanks
Thanks to Marc, for forwarding the news from Bangladesh. We absolutely
must have more news from the third world. There will almost certainly
be several experienced marxist organisations in Bangladesh, whose views
combine theory and practice on these dramatic events. Can anyone find how
to get access to them?
And I wanted to say it was also good to see Jeff appreciating a point
from Shawgi. Strong though the differences between many lists members,
the culture really seems to have consolidated itself on this list, that it
is in all our interests to be tolerant of diversity, and
concentrate on attacking the ideas whenever suitable, rather than
the people.
Chris B, Co-mod
BTW all co-mods as far as I can tell only speak in an individual
capacity except where there is a group statement. I suppose I am saying
by putting "co-mod" at the end here, I am more than willing to be
challenged on these points above, in terms of whether they are relevant
for the good development of the list, and not just for the sake of my
own opinion.
But as Marc quite rightly pointed out, nobody needs to listen
to a co-mod if they do not want to, and further everyone anyway is
expected to share in the self-moderation of this list and if they think
appropriate, make a moderating comment about the process and development
of the list.
