French social crisis: the balance sheet
<<1) The theory of the Working Class's death failed. Workers are still able
to fight against capitalism and State.=20>>
Chris B
-------
Howsoever people are conscious of it, it is totally impossible for the
working class to die out under capitalism.
This is not a pedantic theoretical point.
The other comment I would make is that capitalism can function successfully
in several modes. The mass demonstrations in France may force the government
not to go down the Thatcherist road, but to try to continue being
competitive in the international market with a significant degree
of social engineering in their model.
